This spring, artists Danielle Greco and Lisa Strafford will be offering 6 plein air art classes on Saturday mornings (April 3 through May 8) from 9 am to noon at the John  James Audubon Center at Mill Grove.  In these classes, students can select their preferred medium (watercolor, oil, acrylic, pencil, pen, or photography) to interpret the world around them. Participants will explore the necessary techniques for composing a representative nature painting, practice their skills, and participate in socially distanced critiques.  By having critiques, students will learn to appreciate the impact and importance of one’s understanding of and relationship with nature. All levels of experience are welcome.   In the case of inclement weather, the class will be moved into the covered pavilion, rescheduled, or moved to a virtual platform.

Due to COVID-19 and the restrictions of social distancing, students should bring supplies of their choice. A list of supplies for each medium can be found here.

There will be a $20 charge for each class. Participants can take a single class or work on their piece over the entire 6 weeks.  Each class will be limited to 20 participants.
