Accessible Birding Thursdays: Fischer’s Park
From swans to herons to songbirds, we never know what birding treasures we might find at this park. As we travel the 1+ mile paved accessible path, we will hunt for the juncos and white-throated sparrows arriving for the winter, late migrants traveling through, and beautiful year-round regulars such as blue jays, cardinals, cedar waxwings and more. The route takes us along Towamencin Creek, through woods, and past fields, for an inviting assortment of possibilities.
New birders are very welcome, as are children if accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars if you have them. Accessible restroom facilities are on site.
Co-sponsored by Valley Forge Audubon Society and Towamencin Township.
