An Evening Two-Park Birding Mosey

Please RSVP to eac@westvincenttwp.org so we get an idea of how many will be coming.  But don’t hesitate to come at the last minute.  There is always room for more.

If you are someone who likes to explore new places – or just doesn’t like to get up early for birding! – this outing is for you.

Opalanie Park in West Vincent Township will be the starting point for our World Migratory Bird Day evening excursion.  From there we will enjoy a leisurely stroll (birding along the way, of course!) around Opalanie and explore the park’s two new trail connections into neighboring Bryn Coed Preserve.

This field trip, held in conjunction with the West Vincent Township Environmental Advisory Council, will last about 2 hours and will cover a little over a mile on earthen trails.  Those new to birding and families as well as experienced birders are all welcome to join us (note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.)  You will want to bring binoculars if you have them, and perhaps a camera, too, for taking photos in the soft evening light.

A portable restroom is available on site.
