Backyard Bird Feeding
Many people enjoy feeding and watching backyard birds and make a point of putting food out in winter when birds need extra energy, and in spring, when many species build nests and raise young.
During this pandemic, when many of us are spending more time at home, people have begun to notice the birds in their yards. If you’ve thought about putting out a bird feeder and don’t know where to begin, join Chris Wells, VFAS Board member and owner of the Collegeville Wild Birds Unlimited, as he explains the types of feeders and feeder accessories that are available, the types of food to offer, and how to keep your backyard visitors safe. If you already are providing food for birds, see what’s new in the world of bird feeding.
This presentation is sponsored by the North Coventry Township Environmental Advisory Council.
