Bird Watching for Beginners at Goddard Park
Located in southern Chester County, Goddard Park is a well-kept secret in the birding community despite the fact that over 100 different species of birds have been recorded here. We aim to change that! Join guide Lynn Sowden from the Valley Forge Audubon Society and members of the YMCA’s ForeverWell 55+ community for a free Beginner’s Bird Watching outing. This slow and easy search for birds during the height of autumn’s colors will last about two hours on a 1+ mile loop trail. While this trip is targeted at those new to birding, all experience levels and age groups are welcome to join us.
We will meet at the main parking lot by the playground and restrooms. Bring binoculars if you have them.
This program is co-sponsored by Valley Forge Audubon Society and the Jennersville YMCA (www.ymcagbw.org).
