Birding Along The Brandywine: Hibernia Part 2
Come join us for a cold weather outing along the west branch of Brandywine Creek in Hibernia County Park (GPS: 40.029918, -75.841294). We will be searching woods, fields, and streamside habitats for winter residents such as dark-eyed junco, winter wren, yellow-bellied sapsucker, and more.
This birding field trip will cover between 1 and 1.5 miles over paved, grassy, and gravel surfaces. The terrain getting to and from the creek valley is sloping and moderately steep, and some of the unpaved trail surfaces along the creek are uneven. Please bring binoculars if you have them; the leaders will have a few extra pairs to loan out. Beginners and children (accompanied by an adult) are most welcome to join us.
Restrooms are available at multiple locations along the route as well as at the park office, where we will meet.
