Birding at Newlin Grist Mill

The historic Newlin Grist Mill and its surrounding 160-acre park is a place for exploration, with varied habitats and historic structures.  It contains forests and grasslands and a stretch of Chester Creek that support many types of birds (138 species have been recorded here to date).  Join us for our first-ever birding outing to this special place in Delaware County which serves as a refuge for birds, plants, and animals and for the people who come to enjoy them.

Please bring binoculars if you have them.  Trails are earthen and the terrain is generally flat to rolling.  We will cover up to 2 miles over approximately 2 hours, although you may leave at any time.  Beginners and children accompanied by an adult are always welcome.  A restroom is available on site in the visitor’s center.
