Birding at Prophecy Creek Park
This 82-acre park features meadows, ponds, and an array of deciduous and evergreen trees. The Prophecy Creek meanders through the center of the park connecting to the Wissahickon Creek. The park has mowed trails that loop the perimeter. We will be exploring woodland edge and meadow habitat looking for sparrows and winter birds. The grass will be wet in the morning and we will encounter some flat but rocky areas that may be muddy, so sturdy waterproof shoes are recommended. There is a portable restroom on site.
Park in the Manor House parking lot at the right front side of the building adjacent to the trail.
Masks are not required for this outdoor program, although VFAS encourages all participants to be fully vaccinated and asymptomatic to attend.
