Birding for Beginners at Goddard Park

Come enjoy some easy birding at Goddard Park, located in southern Chester County and not far from the Jennersville YMCA.  This park is one of those little “birding-area jewels” we love helping people discover.  It’s got a pond that attracts great blue herons and kingfishers, fields for warblers and bluebirds, and tall poles on which the eagles like to sit to survey their hunting grounds. We’ve seen them all in the fall, now we are excited to explore and discover what we will see at this perfect time for spring birding.

Come join guides Lynn and Stephanie from the Valley Forge Audubon Society and members of the YMCA’s ForeverWell 55+ community for our third free Birding for Beginners outing.  The path is paved and wide, and our route will cover about a mile – we move slowly to enjoy all there is to see.

While this trip is targeted at those new to birding, all experience levels and age groups are welcome to join us. We will meet at the main parking lot by the playground and restrooms. Bring binoculars if you have them. We hope you will join us.
