Birding the Harvey Run Trail
Join us from 8:00 to 10:00 AM as we visit an area of Delaware County that deserves to be visited more.
Harvey Run Trail sits inside Chadds Ford Township and is land that has been preserved with help from the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art. This natural surface trail runs about 5 miles long, but we will travel a shorter loop which takes approximately two hours. The terrain is gentle and mostly flat with minor sloping. There is a small stream which we walk beside and open grassy areas throughout the 300 acres. We will be targeting fall migrants including kinglets and sparrows while also scanning the skies for raptors.
Parking is located at the Chadds Ford township building at 10 Ring Road (GPS: VCF9+8M7 Chadds Ford, PA). Please bring binoculars if you have them. No restrooms are available on site.
