Black Friday Hike
It’s the day after Thanksgiving and you don’t have to worry about cooking—the leftovers are waiting. You may still have friends and family in town, and you’re looking for something to do. Here’s an idea: avoid the shopping crowds and Opt Outside with us!
Stretch your legs and hike off some of your big Thanksgiving meal on this roughly 5-mile hike through Coventry Woods, a beautiful, rugged, heavily forested 700-acre park in northern Chester County. Along with water, please pack a lunch or snacks – we will pause at a covered picnic shelter near a small pond for a food break about halfway through the hike.
Some of the trails we will traverse are steep and/or rocky, so good hiking boots are a must. Hiking poles may also be useful to bring if you have them.
A portable toilet is on site. This hike will take place rain or shine.
