Botany & Brews: A Native Plant Walk with a Beer Chaser

Have you been interested in learning more about Pennsylvania’s native plants and how to ID them?  Then join us for this guided walk that will help you identify and learn about our beneficial native plants along with the invasive species that are too often encroaching on our landscape.  Coventry Woods maintains one of the better representations of native plants in the southeastern PA woodlands, making it an ideal outdoor classroom for this outing.  Along the way we’ll talk about how native plants support local wildlife, why invasive species spread so quickly, and what their presence means for the health of the ecosystem.

After the walk, you are welcome to join the leader for some lunch and craft beer at the Sly Fox Brewery in Pottstown where you can chat, ask questions, and enjoy good company.
