ChesCo Parks Birding Series: #5 – Exton Park
NOTE: Meet at the parking area for the Chester Valley Trail trailhead (40.035883, -75.602612)
The Chester County Parks system has seven wonderful parks which provide excellent opportunities for observing many different birds. Join us as we explore all seven of the parks, one per month, in 2023.
July can be hot, so we will begin our outing early at Exton Park, the site for the 5th park in our series and the most heavily “birded” hotspot in all of Chester County. Come before work, camp, or chores and join us to catch the early birds with their worms.
No prior knowledge of birds or birding is necessary to attend. If you are a beginner, join us! Children (accompanied by an adult) are always welcome, too, on our family-friendly field trips.
Bring binoculars if you have them. A hat and sunscreen are recommended. This outing will cover a little over a mile on natural surface trails and will last approximately 2 hours.
Restrooms are available at the parking area where we will meet.
This field trip is a collaboration between Valley Forge Audubon Society, the West Chester Bird Club, and Chester County Parks and Preservation.
