Countdown to Spring at Heebner Park
Join us for a 2 to 3 hour birding field trip at Heebner Park in Worcester Township. This under-birded 84-acre local park has a variety of habitats and naturalized areas. At this time of year we’ll be looking for sparrows and winter and year-round resident birds. We may even spot some early spring migrants. Beginning birders and children (accompanied by an adult) are welcome to join us on this 1.5 to 2 mile stroll. The trails are flat and mostly gravel-covered and there is a restroom on site. Bring binoculars if you have them. The leaders will have a pair to loan out. Use the entrance on Valley Forge Road (Rt 363). Park by the tennis courts. Do not use the Heebner Rd entrance. Note that GPS may show the town as Worcester or Collegeville.
