Earth Day Birding at Fischer’s Park

Come celebrate Earth Day and the importance of preserving our natural world with a birding field trip at this beautiful 77-acre park in Towamencin Township.  Local resident and VFAS volunteer Andrew Dolan, along with other Valley Forge Audubon Society volunteers, will guide us as we scout for the variety of birds usually seen at this time of year in the woods, along the Towamencin Creek, and in the park’s fields.  Everything from warblers, vireos, and orioles to kingfishers, herons, and hawks may end up on our list for the day.

Our route will take us on a 1-2 mile stroll along a mostly-flat natural path with some areas of slight incline.  All abilities and ages are welcome, including children if accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars if you have them. Sturdy walking shoes are recommended.

There are accessible restroom facilities on site.
