Evening Birding at Brightside Farm Park

Valley Forge Audubon Society and Charlestown Township are hosting a guided evening bird walk on Thursday, June 24 at 6:30 pm at Brightside Farm Park, which has recently been listed as a birding hotspot through the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Free and open to the public, part of the field trip will follow a paved multi-use loop trail, though some areas of interest are off the multi-use trail and will not be accessible to wheelchairs or strollers. There is very little grade to the terrain at the park. The distance covered will be approximately 1 mile.  All experience levels, including beginners, are welcome.

Don’t forget to bring binoculars if you have them, and dress for the weather.  The event will be held in the rain, but will be cancelled if there are thunderstorms. Children are encouraged to attend but must be accompanied by an adult. If you are not vaccinated, we ask that you wear a mask
