Evening Birding at Hunsberger Woods

A summer evening is the perfect time to get outside in nature after the heat of the day.  Join Valley Forge Audubon Society volunteer Nick Wilson as he guides us on a birding trip through Hunsberger Woods in Collegeville.  Although this natural area is only 27-acres in size, it encompasses a variety of habitats including a hemlock-lined creek, meadows, a pond, and the woods for which it is named.

Beginning and experienced birders are all welcome to join us, as well as children who are accompanied by an adult.  Please bring binoculars if you have them.  This field trip will cover a little over a mile on rolling terrain, although there is one short steep section of trail, which is paved.  The remainder of the trails are natural surface footpaths and mowed paths.  There is also an easy, shallow creek crossing to navigate.  The trip should last about 2 hours.

No registration is required for this program.

Please note that there is no restroom on site.
