Fall Birding for Beginners at Norristown Farm Park
This field trip will continue the series we did here in the spring especially for new birders. Of course, all are welcome! Fall offers great birding opportunities as many year-round birds and migrating visitors all love this park’s varied habitat of fields, stream, and woods. This guided outing will follow a 1-2 mile route along a wide, accessible paved path and possibly a section of flat dirt path.
Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars if you have them. There are portapotty facilities on site.
Masks are not required for this outdoor program, although VFAS encourages all participants to be fully vaccinated and asymptomatic to attend.
Location: Norristown Farm Park; Parking lot 3; turn off of Germantown Pike onto Barley Sheaf Drive, follow it back as it becomes Upper Farm Road and the entrance to the park. Follow the park road all the way down to where it dead ends at Parking Lot 3 (there is a sign) and the Pavilion.
