Fall Evening Birding at Harriet Wetherill Park

Fall evenings can be a great time to go birding. Many birds are just migrating into our area, some are getting ready to leave, and others are just settling in for the night. We will search for them in the stream area, butterfly garden, fields, and woodland edge of this surprisingly restful park. Our 1+ mile exploration usually takes 1-2 hours of easy travel, with happy surprises such as swallows, warblers, hawks, great blue herons, woodpeckers and more possible.

New birders are very welcome, as are children if accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars if you have them. There are accessible restroom facilities on site.

Note: This Plymouth Township Park has two entrances. Be sure to use the Butler Pike entrance, official address: 2642 Butler Pike, Plymouth Township, which is clearly marked with a big sign.
