Farm Fields and Feathered Friends: Birding at Lundale Farm

A July birding trip on the farm is summer at its brightest — long mornings filled with bird chatter, hedgerows alive with color, and fledglings fluttering after their parents. It’s the perfect time to slow down, wander past the fields and woodlines, and let the season show off. Join us for a warm‑weather walk where every fencepost, pasture, and wood’s edge offers a new flash of wings.

This relaxing trip will cover 1-2 miles along the gravel farm road. Please bring binoculars if you have them – the leaders will have a couple of pairs available to loan out. This is a great outing for beginning and experienced birders alike and those looking to learn more about regenerative farming practices as well as photographers. And children (accompanied by an adult) are always welcome at Valley Forge Audubon Society events.

A portable toilet is available on site.
