Farm Fields and Feathered Friends: Birding at Lundale Farm

October is a fun time to bird on the farm. The mornings are crisp, the birds are active, and the scenery is lovely. Join Valley Forge Audubon Society for an October mosey through this working farm’s mix of open fields, hedgerows, woodlots, and riparian areas — a mosaic that reliably attracts both resident birds and the last push of southbound migrants.

This is a great outing for beginning as well as experienced birders, photographers, and those looking to learn more about regenerative farming practices, and the pace of the walk will be relaxed enough for participants of all experience levels to enjoy the morning.

Please bring binoculars if you have them – the leaders will have a couple of pairs available to loan out. Children (accompanied by an adult) are always welcome at Valley Forge Audubon Society events. A portable toilet is available on site.
