Hike: McKaig Nature Preserve (3 miles)

This small wooded preserve contains two small streams, wildflowers, and is a good birding location. There are no bathrooms at the preserve; so, plan accordingly. Bring water and lunch or money for lunch nearby.

Directions: From the intersection of Rt 202 and Gulph Rd in King of Prussia, drive south on S. Gulph Rd to the traffic light at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. Turn right onto Brooks Rd and then right onto Croton Rd. Drive about 0.5 miles to the Roberts Elementary School parking lot on left.

OR from the Schuylkill Expressway going east, take Exit 330 (Gulph Mills). Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto S. Gulph Rd. (Do not take the turn onto 320.) Drive NW about 1.9 miles and turn left at the “Y” onto Croton Rd or drive to the light at Brooks Rd and follow as above.
