Introducing East Coventry Nature Preserve: A Birding Exploration

As fall songbird migration comes to an end, the species that will be spending the winter months in our region are becoming more and more abundant in our parks and backyards. To learn how to identify and where to find our winter visitors and year-round residents, join us for a 2.5-mile trek on unpaved trails through East Coventry Nature Preserve. This is  VFAS’s first guided outing at this location, which has only been an eBirding hotspot for one year – come explore with us!

Park in the gravel lot along Maack Road. Birders and nature lovers of all experience levels and ages are welcome and encouraged to attend, though children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Bring binoculars if you have them, and wear sturdy shoes with good tread as all footpaths are unpaved and uneven on rolling hills and may be muddy and slippery.

There are no restrooms on site.
