“June is Jumping” Wilson Farm Park Bird Walk
June finds the birds plentiful and busy, so let’s check them out! The woods, field, and ponds of this park offer wonderful birding opportunities, and the 1+ mile trail is easy and paved. Guided by experienced volunteers from the Valley Forge Audubon Society, this is a great opportunity for new birders, old and young, to see and hear local and seasonal birds in their brightest breeding colors and at their interesting spring/summer activities.
Since this walk is on a Saturday, we will start early before the park gets busier and the day gets hot. Bring binoculars if you have them; bug spray, sunscreen, and hat are recommended. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. No masks are required for outdoor programs, although VFAS encourages all participants to be fully vaccinated and asymptomatic to attend.
To find us easily: take Chesterbrook Blvd. to Lee Road. The park main entrance is at the end of Lee Road. As you come in the main entrance, turn left and follow the drive all the way down to the end, to the All Abilities Playground Area. We will meet there at the parking lot at 8:15 am. See you then!
