Kennett Square Birding at Anson B. Nixon Park
Join us for a morning field trip at the Anson B. Nixon Park, a 106-acre park located in Kennett Square. We will wander the fields and wooded areas of the park searching for birds that winter in the area as well as year-round residents, while hoping to find some early spring migrants.
No prior knowledge of birds or birding is necessary to attend. VFAS programs are open to all ages, although we ask that children under 18 be accompanied by an adult. If you have binoculars, bring them, and dress for the weather. The trails are considered easy for walking, and portable restrooms are available on-site by the main parking lot, as well as by the athletic fields at 413 N. Walnut Road.
