Late Summer Stroll at Hildacy Preserve

Join us at Natural Lands Hildacy Preserve to look for early fall migrants and resident birds. Native grass meadows at the preserve provide valuable habitat for many bird species that are in decline across their ranges. Crum Creek, a tributary to the Delaware River, meanders through the preserve. These are mostly flat earthen trails that can be very wet and muddy if it rains in the days prior to the outing. Waterproof footwear is recommended.

Beginners are always welcome. This program is open to all ages, although we ask that children under 18 be accompanied by an adult. If you have binoculars, bring them. The leaders will have a pair of binoculars to loan out.

Meet in the parking lot at the trailhead. There is no public restroom at the preserve; however, portable restrooms are available at Rose Tree Park, 2 miles away from Hildacy on Rt 252.
