Mid-Week Birding Mosey at Fischer’s Park

This mid-week slow mosey will take us on one of our favorite 1+ mile routes along paved and well-maintained natural paths by the Towamencin Creek, through a wooded area with a slight incline, and along flat wide-open fields. Once again, usually a quiet path with active birds.

We hope you’ll join us to search for newly-arrived winter residents (white-throated sparrows, sapsuckers, juncos) as well as any year-round resident birds (great blue herons, bluebirds, chickadees) that may also make themselves known.  We may even find a late fall migrant or two still passing through.

This route usually takes about two hours, although you may leave at any time. All ages and abilities are welcome, including children if accompanied by an adult. This can be a fun route especially for new birders.  Sturdy walking shoes are recommended, and of course, bring binoculars if you have them. We will have a few pair to lend.

Accessible restrooms are available on site.
