Native Plant Sale

Are you looking to start a native plant garden and have no idea where to begin? On Sunday April 28, Valley Forge Audubon Society and the Lower Providence Bird Town are sponsoring a native plant sale from Noon to 4 pm.  The event will be held at the pavilion in Eagleville Park in Lower Providence,  which is behind the Township Building at 100 Parklane Drive in Eagleville. Experienced native plant gardeners will be available to answer any of your questions and to recommend plants suitable for your space and habitat.

Native plants will be provided by North Creek Nurseries for sun, shade, and edge habitat.  We will not be charging full price for these plants but will be asking for donations to support our VFAS outreach programs, which include getting native plants to as many people as possible.  In addition, VFAS members will be sharing a variety of native plants from their own gardens.

Also, the Mid-Atlantic Carnivorous Plant Society will be selling plants. The Mid-Atlantic Carnivorous Plant Society is a group of individuals committed to spreading knowledge of carnivorous plants and promoting conservation of wetland communities in the Mid-Atlantic. They host a range of activities, field trips, educational resources, and sales events in support of their conservation efforts.

Don’t miss this opportunity to start your native plant garden this spring!
