Nature Up-Close and Easy: Birding at Harriet Wetherill Park

Note: This Plymouth Township Park has two entrances. Be sure to use the Butler Pike Entrance, official address: 2642 Butler Pike, Plymouth Township.  If you are travelling south on Butler Pike, the park is south of Township Line Rd. Watch for the LuLu Shriners Building on the left when going south on Butler. The park entrance, clearly marked with a big sign, is within a block south of that, on the right.

This beautiful park is a great example of nature, conservation, and preservation right in our own  busy-area “backyard”.  With plenty of parking and a paved path through a variety of habitats, this accessible outing will be  a mile or so mosey through field, meadow, butterfly garden, and more.  All experience levels, including beginners, and children who are accompanied by an adult are always welcome.  Bring binoculars if you have them.  Public restrooms are on site.

Masks are not required for this outdoor program, although VFAS encourages all participants to be fully vaccinated and asymptomatic to attend.
