Norristown Farm Park Beginners Bird Walk
We love birding – and we love new birders! Want a chance to try birding in a fun, interesting, and easy location? This 1-2 hour walk is especially for new or never-before birders, with an experienced birder as guide. Our 1-1.5 mile route (part on mild incline) has it all: a wide, paved path next to field, stream, and wood. This is a perfect time of year to start learning more about the local birds that are here year-round, and to look for those migrating back for the summer.
To attend, you MUST fill out the registration on this page and the electronic release form located at this link: t.ly/EktM. This walk will be limited to 20 participants and masks and social distancing will be required. If you sign up, please let us know if you need to cancel so that someone else from the waitlist may attend.
Wear clothing appropriate for the weather, including footwear, and bring binoculars if you have them. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. We will meet at 8:00 am in Parking Lot 3 by the Pavilion Picnic Area— there is a sign at the lot entrance. For those new to the park, see the map link below. See you then!
