November Birding at Historic Bondsville Mill Park

The middle of November marks the transition between fall and winter. Leaves are down, plants are dormant, and while many of the birds who winter in this area have arrived there may still be a few late migrants wandering through. Join us as we search this interesting local park for avian friends.

Opened in 2015 by East Brandywine Township, this 47-acre park near Downingtown highlights not only the early industrial history of the area but has a renewed focus on local natural history as well. Almost 2 miles of earthen trails meander along Beaver Creek and through a mix of habitats. While the terrain is rolling, the park’s trails are not exceptionally challenging. Over 100 species of birds have been recorded here since 2017.

All ages and abilities are welcome to join us, including children if accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Bring binoculars if you have them. A portable restroom is available on site.
