Spring Birding at Heebner Park
Join us for a 2 to 3 hour birding field trip at Heebner Park in Worcester Township. This 84-acre local park has a variety of habitats and naturalized areas. We will be looking for arriving spring migrants like warblers, flycatchers, and vireos among others, and observing resident birds as they begin their nesting season. Beginning birders and children (accompanied by an adult) are welcome to join us on this 1.5 to 2 mile stroll. The trails are flat and mostly gravel-covered and there is a restroom on site. Bring binoculars if you have them. The leaders will have a pair to loan out. Use the entrance on Valley Forge Road (Rt 363). Park by the tennis courts. Do not use the Heebner Rd entrance. Note that GPS may show the town as Worcester or Collegeville.
