Spring Birding Series at Harriet Wetherill Park

While we started the spring “early-birding” fun here on April 9, please join us as we continue our field trips at Harriet Wetherill Park once monthly, late April thru June.  We will enjoy finding and observing resident and returning birds, marveling at their amazing spring colors and behavior, as we say goodbye to our winter-only avian friends.  This beautiful park’s 1+ mile accessible paved loop offers a variety of sighting opportunities with stream, woods, field, and meadow.

New birders are always welcome!  Children under 18 are also welcome if accompanied by an adult.  Bring binoculars if you have them.  Restrooms will be open on site.

Co-Hosted by Valley Forge Audubon Society (VFAS) and Plymouth Township Parks & Recreation (plymouthtownship.org)

Note: This Plymouth Township Park has two entrances. Be sure to use the Butler Pike Entrance, official address: 2642 Butler Pike, Plymouth Township.

Leaders: VFAS volunteers Lynn Sowden, Master Naturalist, Jim Ermer, VFAS Board member, and Connie Stevenson.  This series is being co-sponsored by Plymouth Township Parks & Recreation.
