Spring Break Birding at Norristown Farm Park (RESCHEDULED)

Whether you will be on an official Spring Break, or just wish you were because you need one, come take a morning break with us for some early-spring birding at Norristown Farm Park.  This time of year can offer an interesting “variety pack” of birds as the winter and spring season migrating birds can often overlap for a bit.  Our 1+ mile relaxed exploration will include watching and listening for phoebes – usually one of the first birds migrating into this park in the spring — as well as staying alert for winter residents such as juncos and white-throated sparrows, and year-round favorites such as the bluebirds and red-tailed hawks. Variety for sure!

This approximately 2-hour field trip on a wide, paved path (and possibly a section of flat dirt path) allows for easy walking and can also accommodate those who have limited mobility or utilize a scooter, walker, or wheelchair.

No prior knowledge of birds or birding is necessary to attend – beginners are always welcome. And please, bring the kids along, even in strollers – our programs are open to all ages, although children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars if you have them, and dress for the weather.

Accessible restroom facilities are on site.
