Strolling, Rolling, and Birding at Brightside Farm Park
Get your holiday weekend off to a wonderful start by joining us on a birding field trip at scenic and peaceful Brightside Farm Park near Malvern. Last year it was discovered that kestrels were nesting in the park, and meadowlarks are often heard singing in the fields, both of which indicate that this park is a haven for these species, which are not often seen in this part of southeastern PA.
The field trip will follow the asphalt multi-use loop trail through the park, so the event is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. Beginning birders and families are welcome, although children must be accompanied by an adult. We will cover about 1 mile and there is very little grade to the terrain in the park. There is no shade along the path so sun protection is recommended.
Please remember to bring binoculars if you have them. There are no rest rooms located on site.
