Summer Birding at Evansburg State Park
Summer is typically a slow time for birding. Birds are well into their nesting cycle and are quieter than usual. On this summer stroll through Evansburg State Park we will look for summer residents and nesting birds with their fledglings. We will begin on a grass trail along the forest edge and circle back on an earthen woodland trail. We will be meeting at Pavilion A on May Hall Rd, which is on the right before the visitor center.
New birders are always welcome at VFAS programs. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. This outing will be on trails that may be uneven and muddy, so please wear sturdy waterproof shoes. Bring binoculars if you have them. The leaders will have extra binoculars to share. Restrooms are available at Pavilion A.
