Trail Tuesdays: Birding Along The French Creek Trail

As its name implies, the French Creek Trail runs along a section of the beautiful French Creek near Phoenixville.  This means that a number of birds that are found along streams such as ducks, herons, bald eagles, and kingfishers may be seen here as well as birds that utilize the adjoining woodlands such as woodpeckers, creepers, nuthatches, and more.  As an added bonus the Rapp’s Dam covered bridge, built in 1866 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, is nearby to see and drive through.

All ages and ability levels are welcome to join us.  We will travel an out-and-back on the trail, returning to the parking lot before heading off in the other direction, allowing participants to choose a shorter or longer outing.  Bring binoculars if you have them.  No restroom is available on site.
