Waterfowl Migration at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area
Waterfowl migration is underway. Meet at the Willow Point parking lot at 9 am. This is Stop #2 on the map. We will walk the Willow Point Trail to the lake where we will observe the snow geese, tundra swans, ducks, and possibly bald eagles. There are no guarantees on the number of geese that will be present, although on Friday February 25 there were 100,000. Afterward, participants can drive the tour road, stopping at the various points along the way.
Wear clothing appropriate for the weather, including footwear, and bring snacks/lunch, water, and binoculars if you have them. The leaders will have a spotting scope.
