Wings At Welkinweir: A Fall Migration Bird Walk

October is a fantastic time to witness the magic of fall bird migration.Thousands of birds—including warblers, thrushes, and raptors—are on the move, stopping to rest and refuel in local parks and natural areas. Join Valley Forge Audubon Society guide Nick Wilson to learn about these incredible travelers, sharpen your identification skills, and connect with nature as the season shifts.

All skill levels and age groups are welcome to join us, although children must be accompanied by an adult. Be advised we will be travelling a little over a mile along unpaved and uneven dirt footpaths over the course of our 2+ hour outing, so please wear sturdy shoes with good tread. There is one short hill to navigate.

Bring binoculars if you have them. A portable restroom is available on site.

Note: Enter through the gate just east of the visitor parking lot entrance. Please use these GPS coordinates: 40.155278, -75.683530
