Winter Birding at Evansburg State Park

Evansburg State Park in Montgomery County has a variety of habitats including forests, meadows, old fields, and farmland.  We will look for winter birds along an earthen woodland trail and circle back on a grass trail along the forest edge.  We will be meeting at Pavilion B on Mayhall Rd, which is before the visitor center.  Please see our exact meeting location on the park map.

A restroom is available at Pavilion A, which is across the road from Pavilion B.

New birders are always welcome at VFAS programs. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. This outing will be on natural surface trails that may be uneven and muddy, so please wear sturdy waterproof shoes.  Bring binoculars if you have them and dress warmly. The leaders will have some extras to loan out.

Masks are not required for this outdoor program, although VFAS encourages all participants to be fully vaccinated and asymptomatic to attend.
