Winter Birding at Stoneleigh: A Natural Garden
We had a great response to our first weekend outing here in October so we are going to repeat it on a weekday. The leaves are off the trees so it will be easier for us to spot fall and winter birds like woodpeckers, kinglets, and sparrows, as well as year-round resident birds.
The garden opens at 10 am so we will be starting later than usual for those who like to sleep in! We’ll meet in the main parking area.
All abilities and ages are welcome, including children if accompanied by an adult. Please bring binoculars if you have them. The leaders will have 2 pairs to lend out.
Stoneleigh features more than a mile of porous-paved walking paths. Restrooms and a water fountain are available but note that we will not be in that area until about mid-way through our garden stroll.
