Winter Birding at Wilson Farm Park
Note: THIS PARK HAS MULTIPLE ENTRANCES AND PARKING LOTS, SO TO FIND US EASILY: Take Chesterbrook Blvd. to Lee Road (GPS address: 500 Lee Road, Chesterbrook, PA). The park’s main entrance is at the end of Lee Road. As you come in the main entrance, turn left and follow the drive all the way down to the end, to the All Abilities Playground Area. We will meet there at the parking lot at 8:30 am.
Join us to locate winter birds such as yellow-bellied sapsucker, purple finch, hermit thrush, and brown creeper, as well as a variety of sparrows and year-round residents. The park’s fully accessible 1.5+ mile paved path takes us by field, woods, and pond, with the promise of a great variety of birds to spy.
New birders are always welcome. Children also welcome if accompanied by an adult. Bring binoculars if you have them. Public restrooms are on site.
Masks are not required for this outdoor program, although VFAS encourages all participants to be fully vaccinated and asymptomatic to attend.
